I’m fascinated with technology and the ability to go online and share with the world whether through video, photographs or blogs, our thoughts, interests and exciting news or updates. I like to talk and I have a lot of thoughts floating around in my “thinker” so I thought I would use this platform, the SALON of Florence website, to share information, updates and the random musings.
I want to start out by saying that I’ve been with the SALON of Florence now for 12yrs. and if Barbi will have me I’m never leaving. I have such a passion for the beauty industry and although my skill set puts me behind the scenes I’m full of joy for what my team is capable of. To be able to lay hands on someone and change not only the way they look, but also how they feel and see themselves is POWERFUL. I stand amazed at their ability to even sometimes look past what a client feels they want and to give them what they ultimately realize they needed.
From the scheduling of your appointment to your check out and pre-book we do our very best to make sure every step of your visit exceeds your expectations. We’re very open to suggestions and critique because although we’ve been around for 13yrs. we’re never above switching gears or reworking a procedure we may find doesn’t work for us anymore. This is because we strive to give you not only a great service but we’re also in the hopes that you’ll refer us to your friends and family.
Our salon team is close knit, encouraging and also more than willing to give a helping hand to each other when needed. Yes I’m the Business Manager and yes I want you and everyone you know to be a client of ours but the bottom line is you can trust us. We are HUGE on education and see every client as an opportunity to improve our skills. It’s fairly rare (THANK GOD) that we have an unhappy client but the thing I know, without a doubt, is that we’ll do everything in our power to make it right if and when issues do arise. No I can’t guarantee that we’re a good fit for everyone but I CAN guarantee that if you aren’t happy we’ll use every bit of experience we have, collectively, to fix it. If you go into an appointment knowing this it allows for a more comfortable feeling ESPECIALLY for a new client.
I’m typically tucked away in my office but I do work our front desk on Monday’s and know what kind of work my stylists are capable of. It’s exciting to watch major transformations revealed as well as that smile that spreads across your face when you KNOW you look good. I get to see this EVERYDAY and to know my team is responsible for this positive change in people is a powerful feeling and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of it.
